Next step

So painting the frame is a slow ass process. I'm just using Hammerite and its nasty stuff to paint on but its coming along.

I also started to polish the wheels to see if I could save them. They are in a pretty bad way but some elbow grease is turning them around.

Engine clean

So the engine is covered in rank mank and corrosion
I've gone at the gunk build up on the bottom with a scrapoer but its taking a while.
I've also gone at the corrosion and polished up the engine casing I tiny bit but its looking like a big job.

Strip down

Whoop whoop, strip down is complete
it was a bitch

re start

So I finally pulled my finger out and cracked on with the bike. Wheels off and full strip down. Slight issue, in the past the engine mounts have been welded on so getting the engine out is not going very smooth.  Rest is fine and I have a box full of dirty back metal ready to deliver to the powder coaters. Got pops coming by tomorrow to help get the engine out then its a tidy up on some of my frame welds and paint away.

Its spring tine

So as the sun is out I started again in the caferacer. I'd purchased a fibreglass seat and it fits really nice on the frame I made. Theres a few chops and welds needed on the frame but they can wait till the bikes stripped. I bled the front brake to check the new master cylinder works which it does. All is looking very positive so I think its strip and paint time.
